JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job):
Craters are responsible for building shipping containers for spare parts, OEM and Consol orders
for domestic and international shipment, working as a team. They pack and secure products to
protect them in transit. They mark crates according to established protocols and ensure proper
paperwork is included with each shipment.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following:
• Build to size wood crates per size and dimensions given by OEM Shipping Lead
• Measure accurately, determine clearances, number of braces required. No drawings
are provided to work from. Some items are repeated and measurements know (e.g.
inker)
• Spec of international packing for all Domestic and International shipments
• Utilize established packing process
• Use shipping directory to insure all required parts are packed
• Use packing slip to insure all parts are correct and sent to correct customer
• Maintain part integrity and quality (any and all parts in question need to be taken to
Quality Inspection for assessment)
• Ship and process using established Customer Order Shipping Process
Domestic/International
• Legibly write Customer Name and address on Crate
• Mark address on each crate
• Mark every crate with ISPM15 Wood Stamp and international symbols
• Safely operate cranes and forklifts as required to move products
• Maintain 6S assigned area
• Adhere to deadlines
• Interact / coordinate with Shipping and Assembly
• Interact with freight forwarders and trucking companies
• Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and
experience:
• High School Graduate or equivalent

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability
to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
• Work schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week, which may include on-call
status, evenings, and/or weekends.
• Physical demands vary
• 40 lb limit on lifing without forklift or assistance
• Must wear a harness if climbing > 6’ off the shop floor
• Must operate in a safe, responsible manner, which represents the environment and
the health of our employees, our customers and the communities where we operate.
Must not compromise environmental, health or safety values.
