Material Handler-3rd Shift - Erie, CO
SUMMARY:
This position involves the movement of finished goods to the shipping warehouse for shipping. Provides raw materials to the production floor along with inventory control responsibilities. Loads, unloads, and moves materials performing any combination of following duties: reads work order, production schedule or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials and requirements for staging. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with forklift.
Education/Experience: High school diploma. 2 years’ experience in injection molding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for raw material staging for pre-press set-up.
- Responsible for loading and unloading dryers as required by completed work orders.
- Responsible for input in the company’s ERP system.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of raw materials in the company ERP system.
- Works closely with Purchasing to ensure material requirements are being met; reviewing backlog report for material requirements.
- Responsible for cleaning injection molding equipment which may include grinders, barrels, presses.
- Responsible for inventory control and physical inventory counting.
- Responsible to carry out duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for correct paperwork and accurate data entry related to work orders and inventory control to track materials used for work order.
- Overall shop security and safety.
- Any materials used in the manufacturing of product that has an expiration date must be verified prior to usage. If material is expired, notify supervisor.
Responsible for following Quality System Manual and producing quality parts. Thoroughly understand all I.S.O. and Q.S.R. requirements, participate in the implementation, training and the continuing improvements provided in these processes.
