Weekend Evening Shift Supervisor - Lakewood, CO

Position Overview

The position serves as a focal point of all machining operations within the company and requires coordination of work with other departmental supervisors, machinists, sub-contractors, engineering and management to ensure timely delivery of quality parts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Coordinating with department leads to create production, crew and machine schedules
• Quality control, parts and equipment testing, inspection & implementation
• Inspect parts and train employees on quality control practices
• Inventory control
• Scheduling mainly Milling Department, some assembly and debur personnel
• Maintain PM schedules and maintenance logs for all shop machinery
• Supervise shop personnel and assign job tasks based on production schedule
• Implement Lean Manufacturing standards
• Organize shop and improve work flow

Experience and Skill Requirements

• Must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience
• Prior machine shop experience required
• Multi-tasking and ability to perform under tight time deadlines
• Ability to productively schedule machines & employees
• Ability to ACCURATELY read tape measurement & blueprints
• Quality oriented and high attention to detail
• MUST BE EXTREMELY ORGANIZED
