Position Summary
This role works closely with the Sales team. Once a prospect indicates an interest in having circuit boards assembled, the Quote Specialist accurately create quotes for sales team. Communicate with vendors for components and boards and accurately reflect dates which items will arrive to allow production to build PCBs. Locate and provide quotes for products as required by our customers. Identify alternate sources for products that are not readily available.

This is a high-volume, fast paced position requiring excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking.

 

Knowledge, Skill Sets, Education, Experience

Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent and 2+ years’ experience in the field or related area.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Outstanding customer service skills.
• Work quickly and accurately on many projects simultaneously (multitask).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

•Proficiency in basic math skills, including percentages.

•Ability to work overtime as needed.

Basic Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Accurately quote and source pricing for services, boards, and outsourced assembly on a per-job basis.
• Maintain productivity measurements including number of quotes completed perday, cycle time, average mark-up, and buy/quote ratio.
• Support gross profit goals by negotiating and controlling product costs, lead times, freight terms and purchase quantity requirements.
• Maintain existing supplier relationships and initiate potential new supplier relationships.
• Support team members on product and source inquiries.
• Contract review or customer order review.
• Support with proposal preparation and negotiation of contracts and orders.
• Validation of materials requirements and manufacturing orders releases.
• Verification of the requirements to assure the required capability.
• Provide exceptional customer service by proactively contacting sales teamand/or customer to resolve issues and improve success rate.
• Maintain the system information related to completing sales orders.

•Build and maintain solid client relationships and deliver outstanding results.
• Support sales team when reps are visiting accounts.

 

 

 

Schedule:

Typicalhours are 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday-Friday.
