Requirements:
The Production Supervisor is a season operations person who also works as support backup for the Plant Foreman and can coordinate all plant personnel and labor subcontractors. Key job role includes production supervision, working with Production Foreman to meet operating metrics and material quality standards, and monthly production reports. The individual should retain a high school diploma or equivalent. However, experience may be substituted for education. A minimum of three years’ experience with Material Recovery Facility (MRF) or production environment is required. He or she must pass the OSHA 30 hour safety training and serve as the company safety officer. Although not required, bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
General Job Description:
The Production Supervisor needs to effetely coordinate and track performance for several production teams such as line sorters, line leads, and equipment operators. He or she will also need to interact with the county’s scalehouse personnel, work with outside vendors, technical support personnel, equipment representatives, and outside contractors. Key goals for the Production Supervisor is balancing the information exchange (and knowledge) among several teams and work as a liaison with Maintenance Foreman (or Maintenance Manager). Other key objectives is a good working knowledge of the MRF operations and developing process improvement tools such as Lean Management is part of the overall curriculum.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for enforcing all company safety guidelines and company employment manual.
Working Hours
Based on the production schedule, dayshift 7 am – 4 pm m-f. If production requires the 2nd shift, hours could be changed to 3:30 pm – 12-midnight m-f. Also, he/she is required to be on call for any necessary breakdown or if a Saturdays production day falls after a holiday.
Salary and Compensation
Annual Salary $55,000 - $61,000, plus benefits.
